Even with an Xbox controller, you don't have view/menu/元/R3. You'll need an xbox controller since OneCast does not capture the center button on say the Steel Series, so brining up the 'menu/view' overlay is even more fiddly than the overlay itself usually is, which brings me to:įor those not aware, OneCast is limited by what MFI controllers are allowed to do. This may be a limitation of the Xbox streaming protocol, but on the aTV this feels like more of a shortcoming than on iPad. No couch co-op because OneCast is not multi-controller aware. Using OneCast locally with your Xbox One and Mac connected to your router is one thing, but connecting when youre away from home over the internet is entirely different.

It's a universal purchase so no need to buy twice. Real twitchy games are going to feel a bit limited though probably. My daughter tried Kingdom Hearts III since she knows that game well, and felt it basically the same as playing in front of the Xbox. As said by u/buffalolsx it can occasionally drop frames, and present audio glitches, but otherwise holds up well enough. I've been using this on my hardwired aTV and it's pretty decent. I don't see it on the store yet but I'd imagine it should be up later today. Until xCloud and native game streaming is released this should be a great alternative. Well I just updated my iPhone app and got a message about AppleTV, went to their site and yep you can soon stream to your TV. Thanks Mrs Emily crypto fx for her great skills of mining and trading in my account, very diligent in her work. It works well and is really nice to be able to play XBox away from the TV it's connected to. Investing and getting positive returns is all I ever wanted and am glad I found it. If you don't know what OneCast is it's an iOS/Android app that lets you stream your XBox One to your phone/tablet over WiFi.
